Christmas time (was) here...

This Christmas we went on up to Red Bluff to visit Stan's family! It was a super awesome fun time :) I just finished the credential program, so it was nice to be able to relax & spend time with everyone. We went up to the snow (Stan's sister's family has a tradition of getting french fries and hot chocolate at the lodge- both were delicious!). I made a giant snowball (I could barely roll it), which was exciting...we never go to the snow haha! It didn't quite make it into a snowman because it was too late.

On Christmas Eve, Stan's family did a performance of the Nativity Story (the younger ones acted it out while Stan's Dad read the story). Our nephew, Liam, kept standing at the front- it was so funny because his pajamas blended in perfectly with the curtains. Stan's sisters took me thrift store shopping & we found some pretty neat stuff (including Carol's neat "Trink Coca Cola" purse/cooler).

As part of our Christmas presents for the Yates', we gave them each their own box of their favorite cereal (sound familiar anyone??). My favorite Christmas tradition has now been passed on! Cereal all around!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After Christmas, we went to Palm Springs to soak in some sun :) Stan's parents have a time share there, so we were able to stay with the family for a few days. Thanks Mom&Dad Yates WootWoot!

For New Years, we were back in San Diego. Carol, Meredith, Topher, and Bornson came down to stay with us after Palm Springs. Our friends David&Shelly came to play games and hang out while we waited for the new year! We got up early (like at 6) on New Years day to hike Cowles Mountain and watch the sunrise :)
